Allan Ramsay was a regular visitor to Prestonfield, in 1736. He embarked on a Grand Tour of Europe with Prestonfield’s owner, Sir Alexander Dick.
The painted scenes in Prestonfield’s Italian room still provide a sumptuous souvenir of those travels. Our twenty-first-century guests now find every indulgence in one of Prestonfield’s largest suites, overlooking our lawns and grounds.
